Overview

If you are into your music festivals then a Tomorrowland Festival simply must be on your list, if you are interested in the best of the best then you need to make your way to Boom, Belgium to experience the biggest of them all.

The tickets for this event are as rare as hens’ teeth and getting your hands on a ticket or two is an extremely hard thing to do unless you pre-purchase a VIP package. This is the only way to ensure you will defiantly grab yourself a ticket as the general admission ones surely sell out in a matter of minutes.

The music festival is now held twice over two weekends really highlighting how much it has grown since its first introduction to the music festival scene back in 2005.

How to get Tomorrowland tickets

As mentioned above the tickets to Tomorrowland are some of the hottest property you can imagine, they are released in stages. You can pre-register for a ticket via the Tomorrowland website and follow the instructions as they are released.

The only way to 100% guarantee your entrance into Tomorrowland is to purchase a VIP package that can include transport, accommodation at the festival and of course your entry ticket. These VIP packages as the name suggest are not cheap but do ensure you have access to privileges that more tickets won’t.

If you are willing to risk it then be prepared to be disappointed at the result as these tickets sell fast and are gone in a matter of minutes. You need to be lucky to get them from the site the day they release them and also hope the website doesn’t crash with the overload of activity.

The last way is to source your tickets from third-party vendors once they have all sold out, sadly this is a common trend and one that is really frustrating. You are likely to find tickets on eBay, Amazon, and sites like that. Purchasing here does come with an added risk though so be careful.

Bands

Each year the best of the best DJs and musical talents are invited to entertain the crowds at Tomorrowland stages throughout the world. They have their regular favorites that keep returning year after year such as David Guetta and also seek to find the latest up and coming talent much to the delight of the excited crow.

Some of the DJ’s you won’t want to miss are:

• David Guetta
• Steve Aoki
• Solomun
• The Chainsmokers
• Don Diablo
• Afrojack
• Cosmic Gate
• Robin Schulz
• Timmy Trumpet

Stages

There are over 15 stages altogether at Tomorrowland meaning you will always have the chance to find an artist that interests you at the time or have the chance to uncover unknown artists you fall in love with.

The stages are positioned in a way that none of the noise from surrounding stages interferes with one another. You can easily navigate your way to each and the signage throughout the festival means you are never lost.

Each stage has its own unique presence and style that makes venturing to them all a must. The detail and effects on display at each stage leave other festivals well behind. The main stage has a different theme each year and throughout the festival, a story is told.

Other activities to enjoy

If you somehow find a space in the program where the music doesn’t interest you or you simply need to give your ears or feet a rest then don’t worry you won’t get bored. Throughout the festival, you can find a host of other activities to keep you happy for periods of time.

The food stalls offer food that leaves you wondering if you are even at a festival, there are even restaurants available to dine at if you really fancy going all out. If you can’t go a weekend without doing a little bit of shopping or fancy getting a tattoo to forever remember your time at the festival it is all possible as well.

Enjoying the Tomorrowland Festival

People mixing with different cultures, dancing to music they are only just discovering and smiling with complete strangers is the trend of the festival, embrace them as well and it can easily be your favorite festival ever.

When you attend a festival like this, the main aim of your weekend should be to have loads of fun with friends or loved ones. The festival attracts party-goers and music lovers from every corner of the globe and somehow manages to do it with so much love.

With other events, you are never surprised to see the mixture of alcohol and anger spill out into a fight or disagreement but having enjoyed Tomorrowland over 2 years the one thing I couldn’t get over was just how much love there really was.

Tomorrowland Tips

When you receive your bracelet at the entry to the festival be sure to take a picture of the number on the bracelet band and then email it to yourself. If you lose your bracelet, you can easily reference this number to show proof of purchase. By emailing the picture to yourself you can easily access the picture even if your phone has gone flat or been misplaced.

Ensure you are at the main stage when the festival comes to a close on Sunday night. It really is a unique ending that Tomorrowland has mastered, and it is a really amazing way to end a great few days.

The festival is a cashless system. You use your bracelet to load the Tomorrowland currency of “Pearls” onto it. I would suggest loading enough for the whole day in one go and return your bank card to a safe place to ensure it is not misplaced.

Eat some of the amazing “festival food” that is on offer by the stalls. They are more than a bucket of fries or a fatty burger. They have loads of taste and if drinking while at the festival, a good meal is a must.

Final Thoughts

When you book the Tomorrowland Music Festival, you are generally hoping it is going to live up to be everything you have heard. Luckily for you, it almost certainly will. The stages are decorated with so much talent and detail just visiting each one of these is a must. The sound quality is excellent, and each band performing is amazing. There are other Tomorrowland festivals in the world nowadays, but nothing beats going to the original for yourself. You will meet people from all over the world, make new friends and discover new music talents that will begin to be played by you on a regular basis.
