Your Stats & Map
Travel Points (The Effort)
These are awarded for your activity – posting photos, adding reviews, and building your map. It measures your contribution.
Travel Footprint (The Impact)
This is a measure of your influence. It grows based on how the community engages with your content (e.g., Likes). It proves your reviews are actually helping people.
You can manually select countries and “Favorite Cities” in your Travel Map settings to visualize where you’ve been. Additionally, any time you post a review, photo, or video tagged to a location, it is automatically pinned to your profile map. Note: You cannot mark a destination as visited without selecting it or posting content.
Currently, you can download an Image of your map via your profile to share on social media. We do not yet support a raw data export (CSV/JSON), but we are exploring data portability for the future.
Your profile isn’t just a social bio; it’s your Travel Identity. When you set your Travel Styles (like ‘Solo Travel’ or ‘Foodie’) and map out where you’ve been, you’re building a public resume of your travels. This helps our platform connect you with travelers who share your exact vibe, while also creating a clean, structured profile that external search engines and AI tools can use to verify your travel authority.
Privacy & Social
Yes, but it is nuanced. If you set your profile to Private:
- Visitors CAN see: Your Dashboard (Map, Travel Styles, Favorite Cities, Scores).
- Visitors CANNOT see: Your Personal Travel Feed (the stream of your posts).
- Important: Content you post to public Destination Pages (reviews/photos) will still be visible in the main Travel Feed to help the community.
Not at the moment. We are currently building a Followers feature that will allow for more granular control over who sees your specific updates.
We are developing a Badge Award system to reward milestones like “First Review,” “10 Cities Visited,” or “Top Rated Review.” This feature is currently TBD and will be rolling out in future updates.
